Influenced by Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya’s Dune Film Series, Spanning 2,500 Square Meters with Futuristic Design Elements reminiscent of Dragonfly Wings.
Boasting a sprawling 2,500 square meters, this architectural marvel incorporates futuristic elements reminiscent of the wings of a dragonfly, evident in its long, flat roofline.
Nestled in the vibrant La Mer area, this bespoke villa, crafted by the esteemed architecture and design studio ISTO, captures the essence of Denis Villeneuve’s cinematic universe. Drawing from Frank Herbert’s iconic novel, the villa harmoniously blends modernity with the enigmatic allure of Dune.
Designed by lead architect Anton Yaroshenko, the Dragonfly villa is ingeniously divided into two wings, each serving distinct purposes. The right wing, tailored for the client’s family, exudes privacy and futuristic elegance. Its striking roofline mirrors the poised wings of a dragonfly, while intricate lighting installations and metal adornments further echo the creature’s delicate yet resilient aesthetic.
Water features encircle the villa, reflecting its architectural grandeur with precision. These elements, meticulously integrated, evoke the raw beauty and balance of Dune’s desert landscapes.
The villa’s interior is bathed in natural light streaming through expansive glass windows, offering breathtaking views of the sea. Materials such as metal, stone, glass, and plaster converge seamlessly, creating an ambiance of sophistication and opulence.
Inspired by the ornithopters of Dune, Yaroshenko masterfully intertwines the villa’s design with the film’s iconic imagery. From the desert vistas of Arrakis to the rich cultural tapestry of the Middle East, every facet of Dune finds expression in the Dragonfly villa’s architectural narrative.
Dubai, renowned for its innovation and rapid development, serves as the perfect canvas for this visionary project. ISTO’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of architectural excellence ensures that Dubai remains at the forefront of futuristic design.
In essence, the Dragonfly villa stands as a testament to the seamless fusion of art, cinema, and architecture, offering a transcendent living experience inspired by the wonders of Dune.
